MRS. MARY ANNE SPEARS
OWNER/DIRECTOR
Mrs. Mary Anne Spears is the Owner/Director of Take the Stage Twirling Studio which she began in 2011. She has lived in the Shoals Area her entire life and is married with two children, Olivia & Vivian. She and her husband Gus are the owners of Universal Event Services. Mary Anne has been twirling for many years and twirled on her High School Squad for 4 years serving as captain for three. She then twirled for the University of North Alabama Marching Band for an additional 3 years as well as teaching and judging various events in the area.
MRS. ALEXIA MOYE
INSTRUCTOR
Mrs. Alexia Moye is from Cullman, Alabama and attended West Point High School where she twirled for five years serving as captain for three. She has been twirling for 11 years and twirled competitively for seven. Alexia also has a background in dancing and served as a UNA Majorette for two years. She received her degree in elementary education this past spring from the University of North Alabama. This will be Alexia’s fifth year as an instructor for Take the Stage Twirling where she will primarily focus on our performance teams.
MS. JACQUELINE GOODWIN
INSTRUCTOR
Ms. Jacqueline Goodwin is from Muscle Shoals, AL and attended Muscle Shoals High School. She is a graduate of the University of North Alabama where she was a member of the UNA Marching Pride Color Guard and received her degree in Vocal/Choral Music Education! She has done color guard since 7th grade and also was a part of Reverie Winterguard during the 2022-2023 season! She is currently the color guard director for Muscle Shoals High School and Middle School! Jacqueline will be focusing on our color guard classes at the studio.
